Ms. Gaspar called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm

Emergency Management (52308)

• Mr. Ux was present to discuss request for reserve fund transfer of $3,975. Current balance of $676
• This amount is needed to pay for the annual support fees for the reverse 911 system.
• The annual fee will need to be added to 2010 and beyond budgets at $4,750 annually

Vote to transfer $3,975 to 100-29100-52308 - Motion by Mr. DeSimone, Second by Mr. Johnson.

Review of 1/12/09 School Committee Meeting

• Burke, Diane and Jeanne attended the meeting
• Principals needs to meet education goals
• Individual budgets and cuts not looked at yet
• Increases currently ranging from 2% - 5%
• Proposing 2/12/09 to meet with Finance Sub-Committee of the School Committee

Review of 5 Year Plan

• Most 2010 budgets are in
• Majority of Town budgets are level funded at first pass
• Currently ($1,237,163) variance
• Continuing hiring freeze and not making replacement hires

Initial conversation around 2010 and where additional budgets cuts might be made

Meeting Schedule

• February 5^th – Determine essential vs. non-essential departments
• February 9^th – Meet with Selectmen
• February 12^th – Invite School District to lay out NMRSD 2010 budget
• February 14^th – Public meeting called by Selectmen
