Town Forest and Picnic Area

River Rd.

The Town of Pepperell owns 90 acres between River Rd. and Elm St., beginning just north of where those two streets meet on Rt. 111. The main picnic area is located opposite the Kemp horse track on River Rd. with wooden tables tucked into a predominantly pine forest. Several trails meander through the area, several of which are wide enough for horseback riding or an easy stroll in the pines. This parcel is maintained by the Pepperell Highway Department.

Follow River Rd. south from the town-center rotary 1.6 miles until you see the wodd sign for the Town Forest and Picnic Area. Pull in and park off River Rd.
