PEPPERELL CONSERVATION COMMISSION
Minutes – March 3, 2009
The Pepperell Conservation Commission (PCC) held a regularly scheduled meeting under the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act, MGL Ch. 131, §40 and the Pepperell Wetlands Protection By-Law. The meeting was held in the Town Hall at 7:00 p.m.
Members present: Elliott presiding, Rand, Rice, Sauer, and Steeves; members absent: Moody and Tzanoudakis.
Fisher gave a progress report on the Heald Street Orchard tree cutting, which was going to be finished within a couple days. She also showed the Commissioners a plan that had been proposed to the Selectmen for a 40B LIP to be located on the Lorden parcel behind the VFW, off Leighton Street.
Upon a motion by Elliott, seconded by Sauer, with Rand abstaining, it was
VOTED: to approve the minutes of February 3, 2009 as amended.
A Request for a Certificate of Compliance for the common driveway known as April Lane, DEP File # 259-504, had been received. On a motion from Elliott, seconded by Sauer, all
VOTED: to issue a complete Certificate of Compliance.
Rand asked if the other Commissioners thought it would be appropriate if he were to be paid for the work he does with his tractor on various parcels of Conservation Land, including the Heald Street Orchard. Rice suggested that payment for his expenses would be appropriate. The other Commissioners agreed. Rand and Fisher said they would research standard rates for expense reimbursement.
Since there were no public hearings, public meetings or other appointments scheduled, the Commissioners decided to cancel the March 17, 2009 meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 7:50 p.m.
