The Town of Pepperell, established 1775 (as a district, 1753), is situated some 35 miles northwest of Boston adjacent to the New Hampshire border and amidst rolling hills, lovely New England woodlands, and the confluence of the Nashua and Nissitissit Rivers. Once a stop on two railroad lines, Pepperell has a rich history as both a mill town and farming community. Today, Pepperell still boasts the community living of the old Mill Village and a rural character of farmland, forests, and other protected recreation areas.
