Spring Cycling 2010AdventuRides

Join us on a new bicycling adventure each week as we explore scenic country roads and enough civilized off-road routes to keep things interesting. We are mere mortals who believe "fitness is fun" - and that a bad day outdoors beats a good day indoors. We'll get great exercise and discover new places together. A hybrid or mountain bike in good working condition, an ANSI approved bicycle helmet, and the ability to ride 1½ to 2 hours are required. Starting locations vary each week, but will always be within ½ hour drive of Groton, Massachusetts. The first ride is free- come check us out. You will need to sign our waiver form before participating

Recreational rides: We will cycle approximately 10-12 miles at a leisurely pace adjusted to the desires and abilities of the group. These rides are scheduled for:

Mondays: 12:15 - 2:15pm,    Starting April 5

Fridays: 9:30 - 11:30am,    Starting April 9

Fitness rides: These rides are for our more fitness-oriented cyclists. We will cycle approximately 15-20 miles at a moderate pace with time for sightseeing. These rides are scheduled for:

Mondays: 9:30 - 11:30am,    Starting April 5

Fridays: 12:15 - 2:15am,    Starting April 9

Each section is a series of at least 8 weekly rides. There will be no rides during Massachusetts school vacations, major holidays, or really lousy weather. The cost is $80 for one ride a week or $120 for all the rides you can handle.

Monday ride dates: April 5, 12, 26, May 3, 10, 17, 24, June 7, 14, 21

Friday ride dates: April 9, 16, 30, May 7, 14, 21, 28, June 4, 11, 18
