Preliminary Certification of Values for Fiscal 2023 has been granted by the Massachusetts Department of Revenue on August 31, 2022.

Public disclosure of properties’ assessed values begins on September 1, 2022.  At this time, the public has the ability to view proposed assessments on all real property for Fiscal 2023. Please see the letter from the Assessor’s for a summary. There are books available at the Assessors’ office with valuations listed by Owner and Street Location. You can also view online files also listed by Owner and Street Location.

If you have any questions or disagree with the proposed valuations on your property, please call the Assessors’ office at 978-433-0322 or email us at assessors@town.pepperell.ma.us . Any changes that are made during the public disclosure period will be reflected on the Fiscal 2023 3rd Quarter Tax Bill. You will also have the opportunity to apply for an abatement on your property taxes starting January 3rd, 2024 until February 1st, 2024.


Real Estate and Personal Property Abatement applications 

Real Estate and Personal Property Abatement applications for Fiscal 2023 will start being accepted on January 2nd 2023 and are due by February 1st 2023. To print an application, click here.  Completed applications can be emailed to assessors@town.pepperell.ma.us or by dropping them off in the drop box by the door at the lower level parking lot, or hand delivered to the counter in Town Hall.

Office Hours

The Assessor’s Department is available to answer any questions Monday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Occasionally the assessor may be out of the office due to sales or cyclical inspections. Tax Rate for Fiscal 2022 Set

The Massachusetts Department of Revenue has approved the Fiscal 2022 Pepperell Tax Rate at $17.15 per thousand. This is a $0.77 decrease from Fiscal 2021. This new tax rate and the new property value will be shown on your 3rd Quarter tax bill which will be mailed by January 1, 2022.

Residents can review their Fiscal 2022 values on the reports available at the Assessor's Counter at Town Hall. You can also access the report from here
