MUOD Working Group
The Town of Pepperell has hired Brovitz Community Planning and Design to assist with the expansion of the Mixed Use Overlay District in the Railroad Square/Main Street Corridor Area. Part of this important process is to gather public input from the Pepperell community, either as a resident, property or business owner, or Town board and committee members.
The Working Group will play a key role in representing the interests of downtown stakeholders. This includes agreeing on a vision for the future of the downtown, setting specific goals for the Main Street Corridor and Railroad Square, and helping to craft a revised and expanded Mixed Use Overlay District bylaw and map. At our first meeting, the Working Group will hear a presentation and discussion led by the consulting team and steering committee of project scope, goals and objectives, followed by a facilitated discussion of issues and opportunities in Downtown Pepperell. We will also work on plans for a public visioning workshop and design charrette.
An outline of the meetings can be viewed here.

PUBLIC DESIGN CHARRETTE
The Public Design Charrette to discuss the Mixed-Use Overlay District was held March 11 and 12, 2022. The Charrette included a walking tour of downtown Pepperell with the consulting team, a listening workshop, and then a design workshop. You can view a video of the walking tour and listening workshop here. Thank you to Pepperell Community Media for filming the event. A slideshow with photos from the event is below.
