[ARCHIVED] Open Position: Part-time Assistant Town Clerk

The Town of Pepperell is seeking to fill the part-time (12 hours/week) position of Assistant Town Clerk. The hours worked may vary weekly to meet the needs of training and coverage for the Town Clerk, and for events such as elections and Town Meetings. Hours will be paid at a rate of $21.12/hour with a start date in July. This position works under the direction of the Town Clerk and performs administrative duties that include but are not limited to; census data management, dog licensing, disseminating vital records, tracking boards and committees, managing absentee ballots and assisting with telephone and counter requests. Minimum qualifications: high school diploma.  Preference will be given to candidates with municipal experience especially in a Town/City Clerk’s office. Must be or become a Notary Public. Must have strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Access, Word and Excel. Must have strong communication and customer service skills, and be able to establish a good working relationship with other Town departments, employees, boards, committees and State and Federal agencies. Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
