The GWOT Monument On June 8, 2019 I had the honor of attending the Global War on Terror Monument dedication at the town park at Main and Hollis Streets. The ceremony, from start to finish was moving with personal stories of heroes and acknowledgement for all the brave people who have served to protect our country.

The monument is beautiful and should be visited by everyone. Visitors can reflect on each section which honors each of our military services. Benches, bricks, and other features honor those individuals whose lives were taken in war zones around the world.

The entire monument was created by a grassroots effort of local citizens. The care and effort they put into the entire monument is incredible and it is something every person in Pepperell should reflect upon, and take its meaning and sentiment with them throughout their life
